FREE Grief and Loss Support Group
The Grief Center of Excellence is excited to be launching its first virtual support group!
Navigating the journey of grief is a difficult experience we face. While the pain of loss is unique to each of us, we don’t have to walk through it alone. Our free monthly virtual grief support group provides a safe and compassionate space to connect with others who understand.
You are invited to join a community where your feelings are welcome, your memories are honored, and your story is heard. Each month, we focus on a specific aspect of the grief journey such as common responses to grief and how to cope, expressing and managing emotions, and finding ways to honor your loved one’s memory. The group will be facilitated by a licensed professional counselor who specializes in grief. The facilitator will guide the discussion and offer tools for grief management support.
This group is open to any adult (18+) who is located in Pennsylvania who has experienced the loss of a loved one. The days and times we are meeting throughout the remainder of 2025 and topics being covered are as follows:
- Thursday, September 25th from 6:30pm-7:30pm – Common Grief Reactions & Ways to Cope
- Thursday, October 23rd from 6:30pm-7:30pm – Disenfranchised Grief
- Wednesday, November 19th from 7pm-8pm – Navigating Anniversaries and Holidays
- Wednesday, December 17th from 7pm-8pm – Remembering and Honoring
- Thursday, January 22 2026 from 6:30pm-7:30pm – Navigating the Process of Grief
- Thursday, February 26 2026 from 6:30pm-7:30pm – Grief and Your Body: Exploring Self-Care
- Thursday, March 26 2026 from 6:30pm-7:30pm – Common Misconceptions About Grief
- Thursday, April 23rd from 6:30pm-7:30pm – Grief and Identity: Exploring the Loss of Roles
- Thursday, May 28th from 6:30pm-7:30pm – Grief and Relationships: Navigating Boundaries & Social Dynamics
- Thursday, June 25th from 6:30pm-7:30pm – Anticipatory Grief
All registered participants will receive a Zoom link.
Registration will occur monthly for the upcoming meeting. Participants will need to re-register each month.
