Hima Sathian, LCSW
Hima Sathian
Cultivating a collaborative, reflective, and supportive space for my clients is really important to me. I view therapy as a transformative tool that can help people connect with their inner wisdom as well as strengthen their external resources.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a background in trauma therapy, LGBTQIA+ advocacy, and cultural-relational work, my approach is rooted in a strengths-based, trauma-informed, and social-justice informed perspective.
When working with adolescents and adults, I tailor my treatment approach to meet the needs and goals of each client. I draw techniques from different therapeutic modalities including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Person-Centered therapy (PCT), and Positive Psychology (PoPsy).
I aim to nurture a therapeutic environment that not just honors each person’s unique identity and experience, but also aids their healing journey with a sense of interdependence and self-compassion.
