Heather Rubin, LCSW

Heather Rubin (She/Her)

Throughout my career, I have had a wealth of experience working with diverse groups of individuals at various stages of life and circumstance across a variety of settings. I consider it an honor and privilege to share the sacred space of therapy with my clients.

Whatever brings you to therapy is valid and important. I welcome and thank you for being here. My goal as a therapist is to empower my clients to identify and motivate themselves to make positive and healthy changes. I believe that we all have the capacity to thrive.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. I received my Master of Social Work as well as my undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh. I am a client-centered, strengths-based clinician focusing on the whole person. I meet my clients where they are and help them explore new approaches and identify new skills.

I use a variety of modalities based on the needs of my client. I have formal training and certification in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT-RLT) and utilize many cognitive-behavioral techniques. I also pull in aspects of Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), mindfulness-based techniques, solution-focused approaches, and others as needed.
