Erin Hopkins Stern  (She/Her/Hers)

Your story is important. My role as a therapist is to work alongside you to understand what you
want to see in your story, and help you move forward in it, with increased fulfillment and hope.
There may be times where you feel overwhelmed and overburdened, experience self-doubt,
struggle with triggers, or are learning about yourself in recovery. Perhaps you’re having a hard
time understanding the way that you’re feeling, or you want to create balance, build motivation,
and gain confidence, especially when barriers get in the way of your goals. In our work together,
I will help you through navigating these experiences.
I am a licensed psychologist in the state of Pennsylvania. I received my doctoral degree in
clinical psychology from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2019. I have
previously worked in an inpatient setting, drug and alcohol rehab, and outpatient mental health
settings, providing individual and group therapy.
My approach to therapy is through a Cognitive Behavioral lens, and I often incorporate
strategies from other approaches such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy, or Acceptance and
Commitment Therapy. I believe that therapy can be both challenging and empowering, and that
this process can support potential for growth and change.

My experience includes, but is not limited to the following areas:

  • Substance use
  • Self-esteem
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Anger
  • Stress management and navigating life transitions
  • Disordered eating and eating disorders
  • Body image concerns
  • Bipolar disorder
  • Self-harm
  • Trauma

Credentials:

  • Doctorate in Clinical Psychology – Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, 2019
