Elizabeth White, LCSW

Elizabeth White (She/Her)

I view the goal of therapy as moving into the future while lessening the grip of negative experiences from our pasts. While some of these experiences may be creating stumbling blocks and barriers in our personal and professional lives, I hope to create an inviting and comfortable place for you to feel welcomed and supported in our work together. My many years of work in mental health have supported me in understanding the relationship necessary to enhance therapeutic work.

My work is from a psychodynamic approach that involves the value and use of the therapeutic relationship. I am also trained in EMDR, which is useful if traumatic memories arise which may be impeding productive work.

I work mainly with adults over the age of eighteen years old. Much of my work has involved focusing on family conflicts, trauma, relationship violence, and divorce. Our time together will be part discovery and part skill building to live in more contentment.
