Hey, I appreciate you taking the time and effort to go through this process.

Working with me as a therapist is a lot like having the emotional equivalent of a personal trainer. I’m here to give you exercises and push you with the goal of empowering you and building those mental muscles needed to get through the day. It can be difficult asking for help, so one of my overall goals is to give you the terminology and language needed to best communicate your needs to others.

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with experience in Cognitive Behavioral and Dialectical Behavioral Therapies (CBT/DBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Somatic Therapies (Emotional Freedom Technique, Polyvagal Theory), and Motivational Interviewing/Talk Therapy. What this all means is that while our sessions may be discussion-based, we’ll also take time to go over skills to use at-home to address in-the-moment issues and stressors.

I received my Masters of Education through William Paterson University. Professionally, I come from a decade of experience in behavioral therapy, education, disability advocacy, community mental health, and academic advisement. I’ve worked in homes, schools, a summer camp, and mental health facilities. I have about six years of retail and food service industry under my belt, so I’m well-versed in crisis de-escalation as well.

When I’m not providing therapy, you can find me building LEGOs, producing ambient music, working on my upstart garden, and trying to wrestle my last clean pair of socks out of my dog’s mouth.
