Daniel Pinsk

I believe that therapy should be an engaging and enriching experience. Therapy is collaborative, it is a conversation, and it can even be enjoyable.  I strive to do what I can to make you as comfortable as possible in session. You are the expert on you, and it’s my job to help you figure out what that means. In therapy we will deepen your understanding of yourself while helping you make positive changes that align with your values.  We will try to chip away at the expectations attached to you by society to help you step into your authentic self.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who has been working in the field since 2017. I have had the opportunity to work with clients one-on-one and in groups, and have been fortunate to work with a diverse range of people in a diverse range of settings. I work primarily from a Feminist Psychotherapeutic lens, incorporating Multiculturalism, Feminism, and Gender and Sexuality Affirming Care into my practice. I also incorporate some facets of CBT and Existentialist therapy in session when appropriate. I pride myself on being experienced in and competent in working with the following subjects and issues:

  • Queer and Transgender issues
  • Posttraumatic Stress Disorder
  • Borderline Personality Disorder
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Adolescent and Young Adult Issues
  • Stress Management
  • Aging
  • Grief Counseling
  • Relationship Stress

I utilize an integration of Person-Centered Therapy, Motivational Interviewing skills, Mindfulness skills, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques to create a safe space to help identify the issues you want to work on and develop the skills to do the work. I look forward to working with you and helping you meet your needs.
