Will Newton, LPC
Hey! I’m Will and I want to know how you feel!! Tell me how you’ve preserved throughout all these years.
For the past eight years, I’ve seen tears, heard fears and helped peers.
Please note, therapy is not a race, but we have to keep a steady pace.
Nothing will feel rushed, we are not in a hurry, but you’ll see the progress so there’s no need to worry!!
I received my masters degree from Temple University and I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of PA (LPC for short). Therapy is and has been my passion for almost a decade and what I love the most aside from watching others grow is helping in any and every way I can. I know there are multiple sides to every story, and I know many of us hold on to things or simply tolerate what we shouldn’t for longer than we should have.
Given the opportunity, I can understand every side, every perspective and every argument. I am an eclectic therapist, meaning I use bits and pieces from all styles to solve whatever challenge I am presented with. I have worked with children as young as 10 and elders with 60 plus years of wisdom. Essentially, I have helped all ages through a variety of concerns including but not limited to emotional concerns, living with a diagnosis, couples counseling, mediations, parenting, family concerns, ADHD, PTSD, rediscovering one’s identify after a life changing event, divorce, trauma, OCD, anger, depression and the list just keeps on growing if I’m being honest.
I want to ensure everyone understands AND overstands each point of view, just as I do. If you need to cry, cry! If you need to vent, vent. Think of me like a lawyer, a confidant, a consigliere, or a diary. I am here to listen empathetically, and I will challenge you (respectfully) when you contradict, invalidate, or discredit yourself.
Our sessions will feel like natural conversations in which we work together to help you become the best version of yourself. I will listen to what you say and hold you accountable. Using a combination of psycho-education, therapeutic interventions, a bit of humor, and every skill I have cultivated, I will work tirelessly for you and to keep you motivated. I will ask questions as I seek to understand your perspective and support you in accomplishing your goals; you will have no reason to fear judgment or shame. When I run out of silly rhymes, I want you to keep in mind, the hardest part of therapy is running out of time.
To make this paragraph easier on your eyes, my goal is to watch you rise, so now I’ll summarize with something wise.
“With every session will come a question. I hope to you see you soon and then to watch
you bloom”
