Jonathan Mauger

Jonathan Mauger (They/Them, He/Him)

As a therapist who specializes in supporting children, adolescents, and teens, my primary goal is to empower youth and families to work through adversities in their life. When working with children and families, I utilize a person-centered approach to build a safe and collaborative relationship with youth and their caregivers. Through this partnership, I work with youth and their families and build skills and strategies to help navigate the interpersonal, developmental, and educational challenges present in their lives.

I believe firmly that families and youth are experts in themselves and their experiences. In therapy, I look to combine my knowledge of trauma and human development with the expertise of you and your child’s lived experience. I utilize skills from a number of therapeutic modalities including TF-CBT, CBT, DBT, PCIT, and mindfulness to find skills and interventions that work for your family.

I am currently under supervision to become a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Pennsylvania. My specialties include treatment for children (5 years and older), adolescents, and young adults who are struggling with:

  • Trauma
  • LGBTQIA+ identity and related concerns
  • Neurodiverse individuals including ADHD and ASD level 1.
  • Depression and Anxiety
  • Divorce and changes in family structure
  • Self-esteem
  • Anger and frustration
