Emma Sadler, LPC
Emma Sadler
Everyone deserves a space where they can be heard, respected, and listened to. I strive to promote an open, nonjudgmental, and collaborative space within the therapeutic relationship. I passionately view therapy as an approach to understand and empower you within your healing. As a queer therapist, I am curious, warm, and open to my clients, while sometimes giving the gentle push needed while healing.
My approach to therapy involves a social justice, person-centered, and somatic approach. Alongside being a licensed professional counselor, I am a board-certified dance/movement therapist. Together, we will explore the relationship of the mind and the body to bring more awareness to things such as trauma, grief, and the valued uniqueness that is you.
I have experience working within inpatient psychiatric hospitals, forensic prisons, and community mental health. These settings have radicalized my approach to therapy. We will explore social and cultural systems, and varying levels of oppression and privilege that we may experience every day. Most importantly, we will explore how mental health and preservation is impacted by these systems.
Outside of the therapeutic environment, you may find me crocheting, dancing, or attempting to rollerblade.
