Beginning therapy involves setting time aside to examine how thoughts and behaviors may be increasing pain. This requires a great deal of bravery and self-awareness, and I appreciate each client who shows up. I aim to walk alongside this process of self-discovery.

I work with adults who live with chronic illness. My therapeutic approach is largely informed by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and related therapies such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). These approaches help to identify patterns of thinking and behavior that lead to feeling “stuck.”

My approach is also heavily influenced by my training in biofeedback. Biofeedback involves examining data like hand temperature, muscle tension, and sweat to identify stress in the body and improve recovery. As a result, my work with clients emphasizes improving the connection between the mind and body.

I have trained in schools, LGBTQ+ mental healthcare, private practice, and the juvenile justice system. Before that, I volunteered in palliative care. Alongside addressing mood disorders, anxiety, and chronic illness, I have also worked with clients as they explore gender and sexuality, intergenerational trauma, relationship issues, aging, and neurodiversity.

In my free time, I enjoy going for bike rides with my partner, strength training, reading mystery novels, and spending time with my neighbors and friends.
