This training is designed for therapists who seek to deepen their understanding and enhance their skills in addressing trauma, loss, and attachment disruptions in their clients. This training will highlight the neurobiology of trauma and how traumatic experiences alter brain structure and function. Finally, the training will include practical guidance for how to best support children and families impacted by trauma, loss, and attachment disruptions.

About the presenter:
Meg Garey holds a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Boston College and is a Licensed Professional Counselor of Mental Health in Delaware. Since July 2016, she has been the Executive Director of A Better Chance for Our Children, overseeing programming, training, compliance, and fundraising. Previously, she was a Clinical Supervisor at Children’s Home + Aid in Chicago, focusing on therapy supervision, program development, and trauma/LGBTQ training initiatives and held leadership roles at Cardinal McCloskey Community Services in the Bronx, NY.
