Emily Price, LPC
Emily Price
I strongly believe in the human capacity to improve our lives when given the proper resource and support. I take a holistic approach to counseling helping individuals and families explore their mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual goals in the context of their relationships, communities, and lived experiences.
I’ve worked for nine years in community-based and outpatient therapy settings with individuals of all ages including those navigating trauma, substance use, and serious mental health struggles. Over the past three years I’ve specialized in working with children and families. I believe participating in individual or family therapy is brave and I’m grateful to anyone who allows me to be a part of that journey for them. I always lead with empathy and non-judgment, striving to create a safe space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and feel empowered and capable of making positive shifts in your life and well-being.
My therapeutic work is informed by my training in and love for yoga and meditation, though these practices are always optional and only incorporated if they feel aligned for you/your family.
I draw from a range of clinical approaches, including person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, and solution-focused therapy. I am certified in Ecosystemic Structural Family Therapy (ESFT) which focuses on the family and ecological systems surrounding the symptoms of a child. I value the therapeutic relationship and showing up as my authentic self while maintaining professional boundaries. I would love to explore if we might be a good fit to work together!
