Equilibria is currently hiring for our Maple Shade, NJ Office!

Licensed Psychologist / LPC / LMFT / LCSW

We are seeking licensed therapists who want to join a growing practice of experienced clinicians. Our first NJ office site is in Maple Shade, NJ with plans to expand to other local communities. Part-time/hourly (evening and weekend) positions are available with potential future opportunity for full-time salaried positions. We are seeking therapists in all areas of clinical specialization with training and experience in empirically supported models of care. Therapists who are experienced working with adults presenting with anxiety, depression and other mood disorders, neurodiversity, and trauma and who have training and experience in empirically supported models of care, including cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, exposure and response prevention, cognitive processing therapy, prolonged exposure, dialectical behavior therapy, and EMDR are especially encouraged to apply. Therapists with experience working with youth who are neurodiverse, youth with a history of trauma, and youth with a history of anxiety are also especially encouraged to apply. At Equilibria we value empowering and supporting clinicians in doing the work that they love, in their areas of expertise, and with the clients with whom they most enjoy working. Our team of highly trained clinicians meet regularly for both general and specialized peer consultation groups, support one another through informal consultations, and have access to clinical guidance and support from an active and involved leadership team. We also support our clinicians by taking care of billing, managed care and administrative tasks so clinicians can use their time to focus on their clients. We have a very easy to use, intuitive online scheduling and documentation system to keep your paperwork at a minimum. Our practice sponsors a number of continuing education opportunities for clinicians every year, as well as many opportunities throughout the year to connect socially. We would love to hear about your areas of specialization and how you would envision being part of our team. Requirements:

  • Three (3) years experience providing therapy
  • NJ License (Psychologist, LPC, LMFT, or LCSW) before starting (interview process can be initiated beforehand)
  • Ability to schedule at least 8 appointments per week in the evenings or on weekends.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Clinical experience in outpatient settings
  • Training and clinical experience in specific empirically supported treatments and specific youth populations (experience with neurodivergence, trauma, and/or anxiety disorders a plus)
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Current credentialing with major insurers in the area (a plus but not a necessity)
  • BIPOC and bilingual clinicians encouraged to apply

Former Client Employment Eligibility at Equilibria

At Equilibria Psychological and Consultation Services, we are committed to ethical practice, professional boundaries, and the psychological safety of both clients and staff. If you are a former client considering applying for a position, please review the following eligibility guidelines. Eligibility Criteria Former clients may be considered for roles at Equilibria only if all of the following conditions are met:

  1. Former Clinician is No Longer Employed at Equilibria

With rare exception, you are not eligible if your former clinician (or your child’s former clinician) is still employed at Equilibria.

  1. Formal Clinical Termination

Your clinical services must have been formally and ethically terminated, meaning you completed treatment or ended services in a manner consistent with professional guidelines.

  1. Clinical Team Review

Your application will be reviewed jointly by Equilibria’s Clinical Leadership Team. Considerations will include ethical standards, boundary issues, and any potential impact on our clinical environment.

Important Notes:

  1. Former clients are not automatically disqualified from roles at Equilibria, but specific boundary conditions, especially regarding ongoing staff relationships, must be met.
  2. All eligibility decisions are made thoughtfully, with respect for your experience and in accordance with clinical ethics.
